Cutting through the avenue, collar turned against the heat, Taxi lights flickering in patterns at my feet. Left the invitation somewhere underneath the stairs. I don't need a destination when the night is everywhere. Every window throws a scene I'll never see again. Strangers trading silhouettes beneath the passing trains.
